A Successful St. Patrick’s Day

The Alpha Psi chapter kicked off St. Patrick’ Day right with our annual Irish Wake event. The wake was held at the student bar Gerts, which reached its person-capacity by noon. A sea of green flooded into the Gerts by 9:00am, and the festivities continued until 3:00am the next day. Not only were Alpha Psi brothers in attendance, but we were also joined by our Phi Epsilon brothers from Maryland. Everyone was showing true Irish spirit, including our elected “Corpse” Brother Gabe Katzen. Hundreds of people came to mourn Gabe’s “passing,” and he will always be remembered as an upstanding and loyal brother.

The Alpha Psi Irish Wake has come to be known as one of McGill’s most popular events. Each year the brothers do an outstanding job of organizing and hosting the hundreds of excited guests in attendance. This year was no different, and we hope to see the same kind of St. Patty’s Day success in the future.
